 The Tree-Strangling Tire

Old Tires Never Die

There is a tire in the woods behind my house. Actually, two.

One of them is a stylish whitewall. A pair of birch trees have grown to near mature height, perfectly encircled by the whitewall.

It offends me, I gotta cut that tire, get it outta there.

Today, I attacked the whitewall with my hand-held hacksaw. I couldn't make a dent in the inner rim. The rubber is reinforced with a fine multi-mesh metal web.

There is a nearby power source. I'm not ready to go to ask for power until I know what tool can do the job.

email (2K)I'm not ready to give up. Something must be done. Can you help me? Suggestions, please.

Just don't throw in the towel.
