It can be fun mucking about in the stream removing tires.
I say it's all good if it gets you out in your boat on the river.
Two turtles

Two turtles bask in the sun on the Nashwaaksis Stream. Sightings such as this are a welcome reward for tire collectors. Perhaps it's the river gods' way of saying thanks.

Ian says:

We had three in one small area and when we removed the first two, the third got silted over and we couldn't find it for the life of us. Another one we paddled over on the way in and on the way out we were sure we'd paddle right over it again. Nope!

Two others were too deeply rooted in muck and finally the last one in the Saint John River was too deep in water and looked very well rooted also.

All in all, three tires and a hubcap were removed and five left for future efforts.
